For those of you who remember the "He-Man and She-Ra Secret of the Sword" movie, or who actually watched the tv show... you might remember that Princess Adora (aka She-Ra) was actually a baddie working for Hordak before she found out her secret identity and became She-Ra. (Yes, I'm a dork for remembering this clearly).
Well, it always ticked me off that when they made the toys, the comics gave an entirely different (and kind of wussy) back story for She-Ra. I mean, nothing was cooler than her being this kick butt, laser gun shooting force captain. Then they make her some weak little princess who runs around and hides. I always wanted them to actually MAKE the Force Captain Adora doll. So, since they obviously had no intention of doing so... I did it myself.
This is one of the original She-Ra dolls for the 1980s. I trimmed her hair to the correct length. The rest is just model paint on the original doll to match her up to the Force Captain image...
... Now I just have to find an old Star Wars figure to steal a blaster pistol from to make her perfect...
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
I'd like to show you some awesome nature related work from more or less unknown artists which deserve more attention - this is a must see, you won't regret it!!!
I'm a lover of visual impacts. I like brilliant colors and shapes. And I decided to collect a whole stack of deviations that reflect that taste. These pieces showcased below deserve every bit of publicity you can give them. x)P
